Ceremony Awarding of Honorary Professor Luc A.Montagnier Was Held In ZJSU
( Dec 11, 2012 )

On November 14, the ceremony awarding of Professor Luc A.Montagnier who had been the Honorary Professor of ZJSU was held in the lecture hall on the first floor of Administrative Building. Vice President Li Jinchang hosted the ceremony.

In the ceremony, President of ZJSU Mr. Zhang Shouren had awarded the Letter of Appointment of Honorary Professor to Professor Luc A. Montagnier and posed for photos together.

Professor Luc A. Montagnier made an academic report of Human Immunodeficiency Virus And AIDS, The New Prospects of Diagnosis And Treatment after the ceremony. Teachers and students of ZJSU witnessed his charm, knew the advanced technology and shared his great achievement in the study of AIDS and its prevention and control.

In his lecture, Professor Luc A. Montagnier elaborated the discovery process of HIV, its research process, the treatment difficulty, designed goals and radical ways as well as the introduction of the pathogenic principles and infection characteristics of HIV. He pointed that the drug treatment was no longer the only therapy of HIV because of the drug side effects which could cause the virus mutation. At present, his team was studying the adjuvant therapy which was to find the virus database to mobilize the body’s immune system to clear virus in six to nine months. His latest study showed that the virus database was a bulk of HIV DNA that the infected DNA virus could release the low-frequency electronic magnetic wave in water. His team recently made this detection by combination of physics and biology and aimed to find the new therapies on the ground of the development of new technologies based on DNA clues. He also provided a series of new paradigm of virus study, which played a great significance and profound influence on HIV treatment.

Teachers and students listened carefully and actively posed their questions which had been patiently and earnestly answered by Professor. The atmosphere was very warm on the spot. Professor expected that he would like to see a cure for AIDS in his lifetime facing to the question when AIDS could be cured.

Professor Luc A. Montagnier born in France was an honorary professor of CNRS and the chairman of World Foundation for AIDS Research. His recent research aimed to find the diagnosis and treatment on tumor, neurodegenerative, microorganisms and virus of joint diseases by the new technology. He was the co-founders of World Foundation for AIDS Research and co-direct of Program for International Viral Collaboration. He had won more than 20 awards, including French Legion of Honor (Commander), Lasker Award (1986), Gairdner Foundation International Award (1987) and 2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine Prize.
